Next month the design community heads to Italy for Milan design week, the largest event in the industry calendar. With hundreds of events spread across the city, we have created a digital guide to the week on Dezeen Events Guide with all the key details.
Taking place from 7 to 12 June, this year's Milan design week features hundreds of installations, talks, events and other exhibitions including Salone del Mobile, the world's most important furniture fair, which anchors the whole week.
Dezeen's guide to Milan design week 2022
Dezeen's dedicated guide acts as a concise and informative resource for visitors who are attending Milan design week.
It includes information about the Salone del Mobile furniture fair as well as the fringe events taking place at design districts around the city, which are known collectively as the fuorisalone.
The guide also lists a selection of individual exhibitions, installations and other events taking place around the city, which will continue to be updated in the weeks leading up to Milan design week.
Milan design week taking place in June due to coronavirus
Milan design week usually happens in April, but the event has been pushed back for the second year in a row due to the coronavirus pandemic and now takes place from 7 to 12 June.
The 60th edition of Salone del Mobile takes place at the Fiera Milano fairground from 7 to 12 April. Organisers are promising a return to its pre-pandemic size with over 2,000 exhibitors after the show was cancelled altogether in 2020 and a pared-down version of the event called Supersalone took place in September in 2021.
