Designer Philippe Starck, French-Brazilian studio Triptyque and landscape studio Coloco designed a Parisian hotel with a steel exoskeleton framework and a vertical garden across its facade.
Spanning 8,000-square-metres, the hotel's exterior was planted with trailing plants to "bring nature back to the city".
However, reader's aren't sold. One commenter said: "Bye-bye to architecture, hello to arboriculture".
Other stories in this week's newsletter include a sculptural residential complex for a changing neighbourhood, a report exposing a "toxic learning and teaching culture" at the Bartlett and Thomas Heatherwick's most controversial projects.
