Promotion:Â Italian brand Poltrona Frau has added additional pieces of outdoor furniture to its Boundless Living Collection, which it launched in 2021.
Poltrona Frau's Boundless Living Collection is designed to be suitable during all seasons in a variety of settings, from residential back gardens to bar terraces and even boat decks.
The brand has added additional furniture pieces as part of the collection, created by designers Roberto Lazzeroni, Kensaku Oshiro and Ludovica and Roberto Palomba.
The Secret Garden suite, designed by Lazzeroni, constitutes dining furniture, while the Palombas' Solaria products are for lounging and Sparkler by Oshiro provides ambient lighting options.
Poltrona Frau exhibited the versatile collection at the furniture fair Salone del Mobile in Milan last week, together with never-before-seen suites Souvenir d’Italie and Leplì Outdoor.
Each group is independent in their styling but also complementary in its functions and choice of materials and available accessories, such as cushions and carpets.
They are all intended to create a sense of harmonious continuity from indoor spaces to the outside, blurring the distinction between interior and exterior furniture.
Like all Poltrona Frau's collections, Boundless Living pays homage to Italian craft and design heritage with a luxurious but discreet style focused on concealing the more complex elements of the pieces.
"Poltrona Frau steps into the outdoor domain to expand a field that has always been at its core," said Nicola Coropulis, CEO of Poltrona Frau, which has previously released furniture lines for homes, offices, public buildings and transport interiors.
"Hence our interpretation of Boundless Living, which is not just about functional borderless living – between inside and outside, between the public and private sphere, between residential and contract – but about interpreting space in a personal way."
"And with our customisation options, offered by the Residential and Custom Interiors divisions, we will be able to meet the needs of designers, offering more than just a product, but visions and lifestyles too," he added.
In their shapes and forms, the pieces draw on Scandinavian and Japanese design while eliciting a sensation of harmony with nature in their colours, textures and materials.
The furniture pieces are made from solid teak in a natural finish taken from responsibly managed forests or powder-coated stainless steel.
Upholstery is made from absorbent polypropylene fibre threads and acrylic or polypropylene yarns, durable yet with a soft textured finish similar to that of interior furniture.
There are four Mediterranean-inspired colour options available: the sandy, stoney Shoreline; the dusky hues of Above Sunset; Ocean Waves, which references nautical styles; and Scent of Green, reminiscent of Italian gardens.
In the interest of durability and waste reduction, the pieces are made up of simple components to make them easy to disassemble. Products are supplied with protective covers and maintenance kits to help prolong their lifetimes.
