After a McDonald's burger box design by rapper Kanye West made waves last week, here is a roundup of 11 designs by celebrities previously featured on Dezeen.
West, now officially called Ye, is far from the first famous person to make a foray into the world of design or architecture.
Below are 11 examples of times celebrities have sought to demonstrate their creative skills, from a moped designed by Justin Bieber to a furniture collection by Brad Pitt:
Kanye West's burger box for McDonald's
American musician West has undertaken several well-known design projects, perhaps most successfully with his Yeezy range of trainers for sportswear brand Adidas, which launched in 2015.
Most recently he collaborated with Muji industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa to reimagine the packaging at McDonald's, switching the bright colours typical of the giant fast-food chain for a more muted appearance.

West has not stopped at designing fashion and products, however. He also took a step into architecture with Yeezy Home, a prefabricated domed unit of homeless housing that took cues from Star Wars.
Prototypes of the homes on his 300-acre property in Calabasas, California were demolished in 2019 amid reports that West had failed to secure a building permit, though a year later West revealed a photo showing another prototype under construction.

Canadian singer Justin Bieber designed a monochromatic version of the classic Vespa Sprint scooter emblazoned with icy white flames and his name in a graffiti-style font.
"Monochromatic things to me are very palatable, and the flames were a way to give it a little bit of an edge," Bieber explained. "When I'm designing, I'm always thinking about: is this pushing things forward? Is this unique? Is this something that is trendsetting?"

Travis Barker's Skull Collection for Buster + Punch
Musician Travis Barker, best known as the drummer of pop-punk band Blink 182, designed a collection of skull-based homeware items including a table lamp, a bowl and a doorstop for London brand Buster + Punch.
"I've been obsessed with skulls forever – from the first time I saw artists like Pushead, who put skulls on the Misfits and Metallica albums, and Zero skateboards back in the day," said Barker.
"I've always loved them, they scream rock 'n' roll, they scream danger and poison. Skulls stand against everything, so to present them in a way like this and take it to a new level is special."

Björk's sets and costumes for the Utopia tour
Icelandic singer-songwriter Björk helped design her own sets and costumes for her Utopia world tour in 2018, taking inspiration from the paintings of her homeland as well as the near-non-stop daylight of its summer months.
In an interview with Dezeen, she explained how she tried to create "an opium-like trance in a utopian garden" by combining the natural with the man-made.

Pharrell Williams' Untitled Residences in Toronto
Like fellow musician West, Williams has ventured into the world of architecture, working with Toronto studios IBI Group and U31 on a two-tower residential development in the southeastern Canadian city.
The project, which is still under construction, will be detailed with jagged balconies designed using parametric tools to create shapes from the sound waves in Williams' song Gust of Wind.
