Dezeen Showroom: industrial designer Marco Gallegos has created a timeless pedestal fan for German furnishing brand Ttato, which is made from timber and aluminium.

The fan named Aura is pared-back to its essential components and materials to create a functional yet eye-catching appliance.

A 2.4-metre-tall tripod stand supports the fan's head, which contains rotor blades made from layered and bent birch and ash veneers.

Its simple design allows it to integrate into a variety of settings regardless of aesthetic, and its control box is mounted on the rear leg, which allows users to easily switch between five different speed settings.

Aura is also made from timber and powder-coated aluminium, which intends to make the product durable, lightweight and easily manoeuvrable.

The fan is available in ash wood and white, ash wood and black, or full black colourways.
