Stant lighting system by Edmondo Testaguzza for Karman
Dezeen Showroom: Italian brand Karman has collaborated with designer Edmondo Testaguzza on its Stant track lighting system, characterised by intentionally visible components held together by pins.
Taking its name from the Italian verb "stare", Stant consists of static linear and circular geometric modules into which LED spotlights can be inserted at moveable intervals.
The pieces can be joined together in sequence to create long continuous lighting rigs or installed in isolation as statement pieces and can be attached closely to walls and ceilings or left to hang as pendant lights.
This versatility makes Stant appropriate for use across a range of interiors, from domestic and retail spaces to hospitality and corporate venues.
"The Stant system leaves you free to create your own personal micro-structure and little universe" said the brand, "you can make customised compositions, creating suspensions or ceiling lights with modules and terminals."
System components are available in black and white painted aluminium and are compatible with cylindrical and blown glass LED spotlight bulbs.
