Dezeen Showroom: German design meets Japanese craftsmanship in Karimoku New Standard's Spectrum Workstation Round ST160 table, created by studio Geckeler Michels to bring calm to work environments.
Geckeler Michels aimed to combine beauty with efficiency in the Spectrum Workstation Round ST160 table, which is made of solid Japanese oak wood.
Karimoku New Standard says the table is designed for flexible, dynamic working and hospitality environments as well as the home. It features a circular cable tunnel in the centre of the table, giving clean and easy access to electronic charging.
The Spectrum Workstation Round ST160 comfortably seats six people and comes in either a black or natural finish.
An offshoot of the brand Karimoku, Karimoku New Standard was founded in 2009 to bring the company's craftsmanship together with international design studios.
The brand's Spectrum series also includes other tables in various sizes and heights, all made of sustainably sourced Japanese hardwoods.
The photography is by Masaaki Inoue.
