Dezeen Showroom: a lamp that is both powered by the sun and designed to mimic it when illuminated is among nine new products featured on Dezeen Showroom.
Dutch lighting brand Sunne and designer Marjan van Aubel have created Sunne, a lamp that is designed to collect sunlight throughout the day and glow at night with no additional power source.
Sunne uses a wide panel of photovoltaic cells to display three modes – Sunne Rise, Sunne Light and Sunne Set – which can be switched between using a smartphone app.
Sunne was recently featured on Dezeen Showroom, alongside an oak table designed to create an atmosphere for conversation and a collection of lime green glassware that takes cues from the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi.
