Promotion: creative platform Le French Design has launched a world map of showrooms and spaces around the world featuring the work of French designers in a bid to highlight the international reach of French design.
The digital world map is the first map referencing French design that documents projects, events and showrooms that feature the work of French architects, designers and organisations, according to Le French Design.
By using the digital map, users can find showrooms and galleries that feature French-designed projects. This includes important information, including the location, website and photographs of products.
The platform was designed to spotlight leading and emerging design and architecture studios who convey the values of French design, including Atelier du Pont, Bismut&Bismut, Charles Zana, Ciguë, Franklin Azzi Architecture, Jacques Garcia, Jakob+Macfarlane, Jouin Manku, Lina Ghotmeh—Architecture, Moinard Betaille, Tristan Auer, Wilmotte & Associés Architectes.
Also featured in the map are the brands Fermob, Habitat, Henryiot & Cie, Jouffre, La Chance, La Manufacture, NOMA, Petite Friture, RINCK and Tolix among others.
According to the platform, the map spotlights leading and emerging designers and interior designers who convey the values of French design.
Design and architecture studios included in the map are Atelier du Pont, Bismut&Bismut, Charles Zana, Ciguë, Franklin Azzi Architecture, Jacques Garcia, Jakob+Macfarlane, Jouin Manku, Lina Ghotmeh—Architecture, Moinard Betaille, Tristan Auer, Wilmotte & Associés Architectes.
Also featured in the map are the French brands Fermob, Habitat, Henryiot & Cie, Jouffre, La Chance, La Manufacture, NOMA, Petite Friture, RINCK, and Tolix among others.
The tool intends to connect international purchase advisors to designers and enhance the international reputation of French design.
Currently Le French Design's map includes 46 brands and 103 designers, via 823 showrooms and shops, 567 design projects and 500 events. Noteworthy events include Paris Design Week and Design Miami.
"Wherever they are, architects, purchase advisors or design enthusiasts can locate a hotel, restaurant, museum or public space designed by a French interior designer, or a shop or exhibition where French design is featured," said Le French Design.
"Through the map of our projects and showrooms on five continents, the map demonstrates the standing and impact of French design throughout the world," the creative platform continued.
"Through this plethora of projects, outlets and events, we hope to convey the international impact of French design."
The map is currently used by 11,500 international professionals, with 69 per cent based in Europe, 16 per cent based in the United States and 8 per cent in Asia.
