Dezeen Debate features a "charmingly odd" lake house in Southern Chile
The latest edition of our Dezeen Debate newsletter features a lake house in Chile by Izquierdo Lehmann. Subscribe to Dezeen Debate now.
Santiago-based studio Izquierdo Lehmann created a round lakeside home near Lago Ranco in southern Chile. The home two-storey was wrapped in glass with a series of wood-clad boxes overhanging from its sides.
Commenters were infatuated with the project. One "loved everything about it" and found "every space and aspect of it inviting, the oddness of the entire design increasing its charm".
Other stories in this week's newsletter that fired up the comments section include an interview with Hermann Kaufmann about the future of timber, toy brand Lego's diverse figurines and the death of Uruguayan architect Rafael Viñoly.
