Maurizio Montalti, Will Meyer and Gray Davis of Meyer Davis, Olayinka Dosekun-Adjei, Pragya Adukia and Kate Goldsworthy have been announced as Dezeen Awards 2023 judges.

Dezeen Awards 2023, in partnership with Bentley Motors, is open for entries. Submit your project before midnight London time on 1 June to avoid late entry fees.

Now in its sixth year, the programme has become the ultimate accolade for architects and designers everywhere, with winners selected by a prestigious panel of international judges.

Meyer and Davis are the co-founders of interior design studio Meyer Davis.

The eponymous practice has offices in New York City, Los Angeles, Miami, London and Dubai with work spanning hospitality, commercial and luxury residential design. The duo also debuted their product brand William Gray in 2020, which specialises in furniture, bath, and lighting design.

Meyer Davis has completed projects worldwide for luxury hotels such as 1 Hotel, Mandarin Oriental, W Hotels, Mr C, Four Seasons and Auberge Resorts.

The studio has also designed restaurants and retail projects for clients including celebrity chefs Marcus Samuelsson, Andrew Carmellini and Dario Cecchini and fashion designer Oscar de la Renta.

The practice has won numerous awards, including for its eclectic 1970s interior for the W Rome hotel and a hotel at the edge of the Garment District in New York City. Both projects were longlisted in Dezeen Awards 2022.

Architect Dosekun-Adjei is the creative director of West African practice Studio Contra. Her work spans residential, commercial, cultural and public projects.

Dosekun-Adjei holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Oxford and a master's from Harvard University where she studied as a Kennedy Scholar, an academic scholarship for US universities Harvard and MIT.

Lagos-based Dosekun-Adjei has also worked as a financial analyst at Japanese financial holding company Nomura in London and at leading international architectural practices, including Barkow Leibinger in Berlin, Sheppard Robson in London and MASS Design Group in Boston.

Adukia is the design director at North American commercial real estate company Brookfield Properties.

Adukia is responsible for overseeing the design of new developments and major capital improvement projects. She has worked on building development projects in London including the 37-storey office tower 100 Bishopsgate, the reconstruction of landmark tower Citypoint and skyscraper 1 Leadenhall in London.

Before joining Brookfield Properties in 2015, she was a workplace consultant for infrastructure consulting firm AECOM's Strategy+ team. She also worked as a designer at studio Rafael Viñoly Architects on London projects including commercial skyscraper 20 Fenchurch and the Battersea Power Station masterplan.

Montalti is the founder and creative director of Amsterdam-based practice Officina Corpuscoli.

He works at the junction of design and biotech – technology based on natural sciences. The Dutch entrepreneur was one of the early pioneers committed to the study of mycelium, a network of fungal threads, and how it can be used to create technologies.

Montalti is also the chief mycelium officer and co-founder of SQIM, a biotech company researching and developing processes and products that explore the potential of mycelium for application across different industries.

It recently collaborated with fashion brand Balenciaga on the Maxi Hooded Wrap Coat, made from SQIM's Ephea mycelium material.

Montalti has received several accolades and has been exhibited in cultural institutions including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, Design Museum in London and MAK – Museum of Applied Arts in Vienna.

Goldsworthy is the director and co-founder of design research group Centre for Circular Design and professor of the Circular Design and Innovation course at the University of the Arts London.

Her work bridges material science, engineering and design through collaborative research in circular economy contexts.

Recent projects include research and development with vegan textile company Ananas Anam on the low-impact Piñayarn material and craft jeans maker Blackhorse Lane Ateliers' Sustainable Denim Wash Lab line.

Goldsworthy also worked with Swedish fashion brand Filippa K on the Circular Design Speeds project funded by Mistra, the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Environmental Research.
