Dezeen Showroom: British furniture manufacturer Allermuir has released a stackable plywood stool named Ooty, created by London-based design duo SmithMatthias.
SmithMatthias designed the Ooty stool to fit subtly and seamlessly into various different interior settings.
This versatility was achieved through its simple form, which comprises three legs with curved chamfered edges and a curved-edge triangular seat.
As a result of its simple and lightweight form, the stool chair has a stackable quality that allows it to be inserted into workplaces and commercial settings in large quantities.
Ooty is constructed from plywood and is available in clear lacquered plywood or washed in a choice of six different tones.
The stool is also available with an optional cushioned seat pad.
