Dezeen Showroom: a collection of stools made from wood that take cues from the appearance of chess pieces is among 10 new products featured on Dezeen Showroom.
Australian designer Ross Gardam took cues from the appearance of chess pieces for the brand's new range of stools, which are made from a choice of solid walnut, white oak or blackened oak.
Rook stools have interesting sculptural details, including a foot rest wedged between two solid timber uprights and repeating circular motifs in the seat and base.
The stools were recently featured on Dezeen Showroom alongside a range of tiles with subtle patterning reminiscent of natural stone.
