Dezeen Showroom: Italian brand Casalgrande Padana designed its Era tile collection to have a stone-like appearance, which is suitable for homes, public areas and even swimming pools.

The Era porcelain tiles feature a subtle, mottled surface pattern and are available in a range of six neutral colours ranging from light Bianca to smoky Pepe.

"Irregular veining, harmonious nuvolato effects, delicate colours, and play of light and shadow emphasise these tiles' colour and the pleasant tactile quality of their reference material," said Casalgrande Padana.

The Era collection is designed to be used on walls and floors, indoors and out, and can also be used for creating bespoke furnishings. The 20-millimetre-thick outdoor version of the tile can be either laid on screed for high load resistance or dry laid on sand, gravel or turf to form walkways.

Casalgrande Padana singles out Era for its exceptional durability and performance, pointing out that it is long-lasting and will not warp or change over time, regardless of the location and its possible temperature fluctuations.

The Bios Antibacterial treatment can also be added to the tiles on request.
