Architecture studio Christ & Gantenbein has built a sculptural concrete bridge atop the Aare River in Aarau, which features five arches of assorted widths.
The design of the 119-metre-long structure was inspired by the town's stone buildings and medieval houses.
Commenters were full of praise, with one describing the structure as "elegant, solid and timeless" and another praising the bridge's "delicious crisp edges".
Other stories in this week's newsletter that fired up the comments section included a pair of archways in the Netherlands created by algorithmic design and 3D printing, a copper-toned family house in Spain by Balzar Arquitectos and the Populous-designed MSG Sphere in Las Vegas.
