Palm daybed by Jean-Michel Wilmotte for Parla
Dezeen Showroom: delicate welding and curves define the black metal frame of this chaise longue, designed for both indoor and outdoor use by French architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte for Parla.
The Palm daybed sits on six spindly legs that contrast with its generous backrest and plush upholstery, finished in a matching deep black hue.
The daybed forms part of the larger Palm collection, which also includes the Palm A chair, Comfort A bar stool and armchair – all designed to bridge the gap between indoor and outdoor living.
Its timeless frame is made from durable powder-coated metal while the seat and back cushions are removable in case of inclement weather.
"The different seats that make up the collection are equipped with a wide and comfortable backrest," the brand explained.
"But it is the design details such as the elegant curvature of tubular forms, joinery, and delicate welding that demonstrate Parla's great skill in metalworking."
