Poke wall light by Daniel Emma for Jam
Dezeen Showroom: Australian craft organisation JamFactory has launched Jam, a collection of furniture, lighting and objects, including the blown-glass Poke wall light designed by Adelaide-based studio Daniel Emma.
JamFactory describes the jam collection as being "uniquely Australian" and the Poke light as an "innovative and playful" design that adds a "pop of fun and colour" to walls.
The wall lamp is made from glass blown in JamFactory's glass studio in Adelaide, Australia. It features an organically shaped sphere in rosy Apricot or greyish Tourmaline with a small cylindrical frosted diffuser protruding into its centre.
The glass is blown freeform, giving the spheres a wobbly shape and making each one unique. The charm of their small differences is heightened when the lamps are used in multiple, for example, in a hallway or dining space, or on either side of a bedhead.
Poke is available in a frosted or clear finish, and its minimalist form is said to complement both classic and contemporary interiors.
JamFactory operates four studios in ceramics, glass, furniture and jewellery and metal in South Australia, and also has exhibition and retail spaces.
