Dezeen Showroom: Italian brand Moroso collaborated with designer Patricia Urquiola on a duo of wooden tables characterised by linear grooves carved into their surfaces.
Rows tables' distinctive patternings were informed by a still life painting by French writer and painter Amédée Ozenfant.
Table Diagonal has dovetail-shaped legs while Table Vertical has straight legs with carved lines reminiscent of fluted architectural columns.
In both formats, a horizontal beam supports a broad tabletop intended for dining.
The tables come in natural oiled or painted oak, in colours including coal grey, cinnamon, taupe or forest green.
Tabletop materials include back-painted glass in sand, amber, forest green, blush or back as well as a range of solid marbles with dynamic natural striations.
