Dezeen Showroom: Swedish studio Form Us With Love has collaborated with solid wood furniture brand Stolab on a collection of customisable dining chairs intended for use in a range of interiors.
Chairs in the Alt Collection share a common seat design comprising a rounded square seat combined with a back made up of three upright pieces and a curved, sweeping backrest.
Stolab aimed to both honour its status as a renowned dining furniture manufacturer as well as expand the chair's use in workplaces by creating a component-based design.
Users can choose between static four-legged standard bases and a base with a central column and five castor wheels.
"Stolab faces the challenge of transcending their traditional 'dining space' identity, into products which speak to architects and designers, desiring a more contemporary aesthetic and for broader applications, especially in tomorrow's offices, which increasingly blend the best from home and work," said Stolab.
A range of bright and neutral textiles and leathers can be selected for the chair's back and seat upholstery. The seats and four-legged bases come in a selection of natural and painted solid woods, and the swivel base comes in silver or black finishes.
