New Marquina Bamboo Finish by Antolini

Dezeen Showroom: Italian stone brand Antolini has developed an original surface texture for its stone that it calls Bamboo, named for its pattern of dense rods.

The Bamboo finish is part of Antolini's Textures+ Collection, for which the stone producer took inspiration from nature and used the latest technology to create textures not seen before on stone.

Antolini's Bamboo finish for stone is inspired by the woody plant

The Bamboo finish resembles the thin stems of the woody plant, with grooves of varying thicknesses adding even more depth and drama to the appearance of marble by bringing out its natural veining.

Antolini showcases the finish on its New Marquina soft quartzite, where it says the Bamboo pattern highlights the stone's intense shade of black and creates an interior design statement that elevates and refines every space.

"This collection aims to amplify the expressive potential of natural stone and to demonstrate how natural stones can be used in any context, from the most refined to the most ordinary," said Antolini.

The Verona-based manufacturer prides itself on working with the finest natural stones, which can be used for various purposes, including the cladding of walls and furniture.
