EJM Studio has created a collection of oak stools crafted from repurposed timber with a design that aims to give traditional British church pews a contemporary and sculptural twist.
Commenters weighed in on the project, with one describing it as "a fresh reimagining of an often bland piece of furniture" and praising it as "a great use of homegrown resources."
Other stories in this week's newsletter that fired up the comments section included plans for the tallest mass-timber skyscraper in Wisconsin, a contemporary timber extension in Somerset by Bindloss Dawes and GMP Architekten's redesign of Real Madrid's Santiago Bernabéu stadium.
