Dezeen Showroom: multidisciplinary practice Archive for Space worked with London-based design brand Béton Brut on a duo of characterful wall-mounted mirrors made from stainless steel.
Mirrors 001 and 002 are united by their stainless steel materiality and silver metallic finish, with Archive for Space defining them by their unique and distinctive forms.
"Mirror 001 treats stainless steel with fabric-like fluidity," said Béton Brut. "Rolled hems allow the mirror to be hung on two slim wires, trading the stiffness of metal for a sense of weightlessness and gentle movement."
001 comes in either landscape or portrait iterations, and can be suspended from walls or ceilings. It comes in four standard sizes with a two-metre cable – other sizes and cable lengths are also available.
"Mirror 002 has a kidney-shaped form that challenges the industrial character of stainless steel," continued the brand. "The frame, which protrudes for a dynamic profile, is brushed to juxtapose the polished steel mirrored surface."
It has four hooks mounted to its backplate that allows for four different hanging orientations to be achieved, and comes in two standard sizes.
Both mirrors are handmade to order in Stoke-on-Trent, UK.
