Local firm DCA Architects of Transformation has enveloped a holiday lodge in New Zealand with a translucent layer of corrugated polycarbonate panels.
The project sparked mixed reactions from commenters. One critic remarked that it "just feels like a windowless storage unit with no charm," while another disagreed, calling it "one of the most interesting houses on Dezeen in months."
Other stories in this week's newsletter that fired up the comments section included a residential skyscraper in Downtown Manhattan by Rafael Viñoly Architects, Faye Toogood and Poltrona Frau's installation at this year's London Design Festival and a house renovation in London by architecture studio Benjamin Wilkes.
