Dezeen Showroom: Japanese ceramics inspire the look of Spanish brand Dune Ceramica's Kit-Kat tiles, named for their resemblance to a famous chocolate bar.
Kit-Kat is a porcelain tile with a finger mosaic effect that brings a sense of texture and visual interest to plain walls.
The 115-by-231-millimetre tiles can be laid on curved walls to keep their soft aesthetic, and are light and easy to handle.
They sit well in spaces that prioritise natural materials and a sense of authenticity, and Dune Ceramica describes them as creating a look that is both subtle and striking.
Kit-Kat tiles are available in 10 colours, including whites, pastels and moody, dark hues. Some of these boast a high degree of tonal variation within the mosaic, while others are more consistent.
There is a mix of matt and glossy finishes, and the tiles can be laid either horizontally or vertically to create the desired pattern.
