Dezeen Showroom: as the colder, darker months arrive in the northern hemisphere, we've rounded up cosy lounge chairs and comfy couches listed on Dezeen Showroom.
Among the following products is a brown modular couch informed by 1970s design, a chair for children to both sit in and play with, and a reissued lounge chair originally made in 1944.
Read on to view the latest soft seating options released by internationally-based designers, makers and brands on Dezeen Showroom:
Clam chair by Arnold Madsen and Dagmar
Arnold Madsen's Clam chair, which was originally created in 1944, has been rereleased by vintage furniture manufacturer Dagmar for the modern market.
It has a rounded seat upholstered all over with tactile, curly sheepskin, and is supported by four oak or walnut legs. Matching armrests poke through the wool on either side.
Hampton seating collection by Morgan
British brand Morgan's Hampton seating collection featured a tufted backrest and angular legs, details that refer to mid-century modern seating.
Sofas, lounge chairs and dining chairs comprise the collection, which can all be upholstered in a range of fabrics including tactile velvet materials.
Uku lounge chair by Simon Pengelly for Allermuir
Furniture brand Allermuir worked with designer Simon Pengelly on a laid-back lounge chair with a sturdy frame made from solid oak.
The Uku lounge chair can be upholstered in leather or fabric and the seat is shaped so that it cradles the user.
Australian design brand Sarah Ellison worked with Pantone on a low, deep sofa rendered in a rich chocolate brown velvet material.
The Float sofa can be reconfigured thanks to its modular composition and has broad seats that invite users to relax.
Moon chair by Mark Litvyakov for Wigiwama
Assembled using three pieces that can be taken apart and used for other forms of play, children's furniture brand Wigiwama's curved Moon chair references the shape of a crescent moon.
It can be covered with teddy or corduroy fabric in a selection of neutral and pastel colourways, and its composition allows it to be adjusted to accommodate users of all ages.
Inland sofa by Anderssen and Voll for &Tradition
Italian luxury and Scandinavian minimalism meet in this understated sofa designed by Norwegian studio Anderssen & Voll.
The low-profile Inland sofa was created for furniture brand &Tradition and features wide seats and a steel base that lifts it off the ground and creates a sense of lightness.
Havana lounge chair by LAB 15 for Eilersen
Designers LAB 15 and Danish brand Eilersen worked together to launch a collection of bulbous lounge chairs that create informal, relaxed seating zones.
Havana lounge chairs come in armless variations and can be purchased with accompanying pebble-shaped footstools.
