Dune acoustic panel collection by Arturel
Dezeen Showroom: Danish company Arturel has worked with textile brand Kvadrat and designer Nital Patel on Dune, an acoustic panel collection with a serene aesthetic.
The Dune collection features artwork-like acoustic wall panels all made with Textile Felt fabric from Kvadrat Really – Kvadrat's circular materials brand that recycles its own post-production textile waste as well as that from other companies.
The panels have an understated pattern made up of three-dimensional planes with a gentle waveform flowing from top to bottom.
Dune intendeds to create a minimalist but artistic look, and the panels can be hung either on their own or in an arrangement of multiples.
The Kvadrat Really Textile Felt is made of 70 per cent post-production waste textile and 30 per cent thermoplastic binder, and has a Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) of 0.75 on average.
Its effectiveness in reducing sound frequency makes it a good choice for the workplace, although Arturel suggests the pieces can work equally well to bring calm to domestic spaces.
