Ahead of Design Miami and Miami art week, we have rounded up eight in-progress skyscrapers in the city including residential towers from car and fashion brands, and even a Michelin star-winning chef.
Alongside other US cities, Miami has seen an increase in skyscrapers and other development set for its urban areas and coastline, mostly in the city's Brickell neighbourhood, Miami Beach and the Design District.
Notably, several of these skyscrapers are the first residential or mixed-used developments from fashion brands, such as Dolce & Gabbana and automotive brands including Bentley and Mercedes-Benz, a trend that Dezeen examined earlier this year.
Developers are also racing to complete the city's first supertall skyscraper, which if completed, will be the Waldorf Astoria Miami at 1,049 feet (320 metres) for 2026 – although a Dolce & Gabbana project is expected to reach the same height when completed two years later.
Read on for eight upcoming skyscrapers set to change Miami's skyline.
