Dezeen Awards 2024 winners will be revealed tomorrow at global event

The winners of Dezeen Awards 2024, in partnership with Bentley, will be announced live tomorrow at the seventh annual ceremony in central London.

Taking place at Hackney Church, the event will celebrate the winners of this year's Dezeen Awards – selected from more than 4,000 entries from 82 countries – as the programme draws to a close.

Dezeen Awards judges to join architects and designers from across the world

Architects and designers from 35 countries including China, Mauritius, Mexico, Rwanda and the United States will be travelling to join the global end-of-year event.

The Dezeen Awards judges, including designers Lee Broom and Giles Tettey Nartey and interior designers Claudia Afshar and Bethan Laura Wood, will be joining the guests for the highly anticipated winners announcements.

The evening will bring together the global Dezeen Awards community to celebrate the culmination of this year's programme, with Perrier-Jouët champagne, cocktails, food, live entertainment and music throughout the night.

An awards show design from Hingston Studio and immersive projection mapping from We Are Seventeen will set the scene for the evening, transforming the interiors of the John Pawson-refurbished Grade II*-listed Hackney Church.

All shortlisted projects in the running for awards throughout the evening

In the running for awards are this year's 225 shortlisted projects. These include a solar farm hub with mirrored steel panels in Turkey, a cafe with pink-coloured tiles in Japan, a restaurant lined with arches of light in the United States and an office building retrofit with a zigzagging outdoor staircase in Germany.

Each shortlisted project will vie for one of the 41 project category awards that will be announced tomorrow night.

The winners of these 41 project categories will go head-to-head and be revealed as one of four overall project of the year winners across architecture, interiors, design and sustainability.

Dezeen will also unveil the six Designers of the Year. Those shortlisted include Studio Gang, Teo Yang Studio, Studio Sabine Marcelis and Oshinowo Studio.

The recipient of the second Bentley Lighthouse Award will also be announced. First launched in 2023, the Bentley Lighthouse Award recognises designers who have had an overwhelmingly beneficial impact on social and environmental sustainability, inclusivity or community empowerment.

All winners will receive a hand-crafted trophy designed by architect Riccardo Cavaciocchi and Bentley's Chris Cooke, made from Paper Factor – an evolution of papier-mâché, developed using a micro-paper compound in collaboration with the University of Salento.

This year, the Bentley Lighthouse Award and Designers of the Year trophies come in gold-speckled green and mottled-light grey hues respectively.

The trophies will be showcased in a bespoke installation by Bentley, exploring the narrative of paper and forming a striking entryway for guests as they arrive at the event.
