Deputy mayor of Paris joins Dezeen x MINI Living panel to discuss the future of the French capital

Deputy mayor of Paris Jean-Louis Missika will join architects Edouard François, Chartier Dalix and Hamonic+Masson & Associés to discuss the future development of the French capital in our latest Dezeen x MINI Living talk at Maison&Objet on Friday.

Following the relaxation of its 42-year skyscraper ban – put in place after negative reaction to Tour Montparnasse in the 1970s – a host of innovative new buildings have been proposed all over Paris as part of mayor Anne Hidalgo's bid to "build the Paris of tomorrow".

Missika and François will join Frédéric Chartier of Chartier Dalix and Jean-Christophe Masson of Hamonic+Masson & Associés as well as Dezeen editor-in-chief Marcus Fairs and Oke Hauser of MINI for a panel discussion exploring how these new developments respond to the challenges facing urban living today and what they mean for the future of Paris.

The talk will take place at 12pm on 8 September in the conference space at the Maison&Objet 2017 trade show in Paris.

Venue: Hall 7, aisle F, Maison&Objet 2017, Parc des Expositions de Villepinte, Paris
Date: Friday 8 September 2017
Time: 12pm

We will livestream the talk on Dezeen and our Facebook page for those who can't make it to Maison&Objet.
