Claus Sendlinger
Claus Sendlinger is founder and CEO of Design Hotels, a Berlin-based hospitality services company.Born in Augsburg, Germany, Sendlinger started his career in event planning and PR for hotels and clubs, before founding his own events company and later a tour company organising high-end travel experiences. Design Hotels was set up in California in 1993, becoming the first hotel marketing consortium dedicated to the arising boutique hotel movement of the early 1990s. Today, the company represents a carefully selected collection of more than 300 boutique hotels in around 60 countries all over the world.
Sendlinger is a known authority in the travel and design industries and was named in the Condé Nast Traveler list of world tourism experts, honoured at the European Design Awards and received the Special Award from one of the top German hospitality publications, AHGZ.
