The heat and scent of freshly baked cheese tart was expressed with galvanised surfaces emitting yellow, gold and rainbow burnish in the Bake Cheese Tart Abeno Harukas Shop in Osaka.

The contrasting variants of the sizzling sensation; the hard and industrial plating and sweet and soft cheese tart, were portrayed. The shop is located in a downtown area known for both its good old metal factories and historic temples; an area where architectural hardware is galvanised next to a galvanised Buddha statue. A “pleasant mismatch” was created inspired by local history and material, in hopes to trigger interest to the region as well as the product.
