Floating Pavilion was a temporary architectural structure exhibited in the Tapei Fine Arts Museum Plaza, Taiwan.
In response to the natural feature of the site, the concept of "floating" derived from ideas of wind and light. A kite canopy and a curved island were joined from above and below, in order to create a pavilion that floats on the plaza, capturing the breeze and light. The pavilion helped the plaza to become a place where visitors felt engaged and were provided with a sense of both intimacy and publicity.
