Watch our discussion on smart design and wellbeing
Dezeen spoke to designers including Irina and Olga Sundukovy and Natali Canas del Pozo about the future of wellbeing in this talk hosted by ceramics brand Villeroy & Boch in Barcelona.
In the talk, Dezeen's editor-in-chief Marcus Fairs speaks to the Sundukovy Sisters, del Pozo, Pele Leal and Andrea Navarro Golobart about how designers can create hospitality spaces that prioritise the wellbeing of their guests.
Titled Innovative Interiors, the talk investigates the ways in which interior designers are responding to issues that impact wellbeing in hospitality design, including urbanisation, connectivity and individualisation.
The panel discussion took place at the Smart Design and Wellbeing hospitality design conference hosted by Villeroy & Boch – a manufacturer of ceramics known for bathrooms and tableware – at Barcelona's MACBA.
The Sundukovy Sisters have designed award-winning hospitality interiors across the world, including projects for Pullman, Hilton and Marriott. Del Pozo is partner and creative director of El Equipo Creativo, a design studio based in Barcelona that designed the city's One Ocean Club. Leal is founder of Pepe Leal Studio, which recently completed an installation for Loewe in Madrid. Golobart is team director at GCA Architects, which has designed interiors for the Lille Hotel Arts, Boho Hotel Prague, and Six Senses Kaplankaya in Turkey.
