Czech architect Eva Jiricna is founder of her eponymous studio Eva Jiricna Architects and co-founder of AI Design.

Eva Jiricna studied at the Technical University in Prague and then the Academy of Fine Arts, where she received her masters degree in architecture. She worked on projects such as the Brighton Marina project and the Lloyd’s Building before founding her own practice in 1982.

London-based Jiricna became renowned for her retail and residential interior design projects, as well as her glass staircases. Her projects include Canada Water Bus Station, Leicester Library and the Orangery at Prague’s Castle amongst others.

She co-founded Prague studio AI Design in 1999. The studio's portfolio includes hotels and university buildings, as well as the Convention Centre in Zlín.

Jiricna has received multiple honours. She is member of the Royal Academy of Arts, Royal Designer for Industry and an honorary member of Royal Society of Arts. She has received eleven honorary doctorates, was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Medal by the London Design Festival and was named an Ambassador of the Czech Republic by the Czech Top 100.

In 1994, Jiricna was awarded a CBE for her services to interior design.
