German designer Werner Aisslinger is founder of Studio Aisslinger.

Berlin-based Werner Aisslinger trained as an industrial designer at the Hochschule der Künste. He established his design practice Studio Aisslinger in 1993 after working for designers such as Ron Arad and Jasper Morrison. Aisslinger experiments with new technology and materials and concentrates on designing for the future, resulting in a diverse portfolio of product designs and architecture projects.

Aisslinger’s projects include a wooden mobile living unit in the Dolomites and Loftcube transportable housing units, which he has been developing since 2003. In 2017, the designer imagined domestic life with robots through the House of Wonders installation at the Museum Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich, which included a chair that he grew inside a greenhouse in 2012.

The studio, based in Berlin and Singapore, has collaborated with brands such as Vitra, Moroso, Cappellini and Magis, as well as working on interior design projects for 25hours hotel group and shopping centres in Bangkok. Aisslinger was named A&W designer of the year at IMM Cologne in 2014.
