Established in 2003, the team is founded on design excellence, respect for history and building craft, engagement with local design culture, and strong relationships with clients and builders. The studio is interested in spaces that address primal experiences in people, through basic attractions to light, material and patterns of movement. Projects explore notions of contemporary domesticity and propose adaptations to people's habitats and their ways of living. Matt Gibson Architecture + Design's holistic approach to the built environment dissolves the separation between interior, exterior and landscape.
