Dezeen Awards 2020 judge Arthur Mamou-Mani

French architect Arthur Mamou-Mani is the founder of Mamou-Mani Architects.

The London-based practice, which specialises in digitally designed and fabricated parametric architecture, believes in using new technologies to evolve architecture’s role in society.

The studio was highly-commended for small building of the year at Dezeen Awards 2019 for Galaxia, a twisting timber pavilion built for Burning Man festival 2018.

Before founding Mamou-Mani Architects in 2011, the architect worked at Atelier Jean Nouvel, Zaha Hadid Architects, and Proctor and Matthews Architects.

Mamou-Mani is a lecturer at the University of Westminster and owns digital fabrication laboratory Fab.Pub, which encourages experimentation with large 3D printers and laser cutters.

Mamou-Mani has given numerous talks including at the TEDx conference and at the inaugural Dezeen Day, where he spoke on the post-plastic materials panel.
