Belgian architect Laurent Troost is the founder of Manaus-based studio Laurent Troost Architects.

Founded by Troost in 2008, the Brazilian studio has since developed several architectural projects on a variety of scales.

Laurent Troost Architects' recent project, Casa Campinarana, a concrete house in the Amazon with an elevated swimming pool, was named rural house of the year at Dezeen Awards 2019.

The Brussels-born architect has been the urban planning director at Manaus Municipality since 2013 and also co-founded Labverde, an art immersion programme.
