Sun Dayong
Sun Dayong is the founding partner and principal architect of Beijing-based practice Penda.
Penda's porfolio includes the restoration of the Hongkun Art Auditorium and Fine Art Musuem in Beijing, plans for a Tel-Aviv tower and plans for a self-sufficient Yin & Yang house in Germany.
In 2015, the studio built a bamboo pavilion as a mock-up to a modular sustainable housing system. Penda has also collaborated with MINI to design a micro-home which references Beijing’s Hutong neighbourhoods.
The award-winning architect aims to adhere to the ethos of eco-design and the concept of "less is love".
