Fernanda Canales
Mexican architect Fernanda Canales is the founder of Mexico City-based eponymous studio.
Fernanda Canales' portfolio includes a reflective pavillion for Design Week Mexico and Casa Bruma, which was shortlisted for house of the year at Dezeen Awards 2018. In 2019, Canales was among 32 architects to design low-cost housing as part of an innovative community development in Hidalgo, Mexico.
The architect's work has previously been exhibited at the San Fransisco Museum of Modern Art, ifa –galerie in Stuttgart and the Venice Biennale. She is also a visiting lecturer at the Architectural Association and the author of several books, including the recently published Private Spaces; Shared Structures.
In 2018, Canales received the Emerging Voices Award from The Architectural League of New York.
