Studio Tada's Fulu device brings touch to digital communication

Studio Tada is presenting a haptic fingernail during the VDF x Ventura Projects collaboration that allows users to experience touch virtually.

Exhibitor: Studio Tada
Project title: Fulu

Studio Tada is a design studio based in London and Tokyo, which is led by innovation and experience designer Ryo Tada.

It is presenting Fulu, a fingernail-mounted haptic device, as part of the VDF collaboration with Ventura Projects.

Fulu is designed to introduce the sense of touch to audio-visual interactions such as video calls and online gaming, which the studio says "neglect" the human senses.

The wearable technology can connect to mobile devices via Bluetooth, and recreates sensations that range from stroking the fur of your dog, to touching the hand of a loved one from anywhere in the world.
