Selencky Parsons has designed a skinny house that has been built in the gap of an old Victorian coach house in New Cross, London.
The Coach House is a tardis-like infill house that is nestled between two Victorian buildings.
The four-bedroom new-build house sits on the site of a former coach house and makes use of the bricks reclaimed from its demolition in its facade.
A triple-height lightwell with feature open-tread staircase brings light deep into the heart of the narrow plot, which unexpectedly opens out to the rear to create a spacious open-plan living area with a sunken living room that engages with the large rear garden.
This project has been longlisted in the urban house category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
