Ravensdale Residence is a small semi-detached house in Dublin that has been transformed into a compact family home.

Kingston Lafferty Design was tasked with an exciting design challenge to completely reconfigure a small family home in the heart of Dublin city. The clients had grown up in the area and wanted to stay in their home which no longer worked for their growing family.

The studio was briefed to knock down the existing structure and redesign the home from the ground up, re-configuring the layout completely.

The design concept stems from a rubix cube; the idea of multiple zones and blocks connecting to form a highly adaptable family home to include all requirements, interconnecting bespoke joinery elements were designed to form one cohesive result.

This project has been longlisted in the house interior project category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
