Esrawe Studio has designed a Japanese restaurant with a cylindrical oak structure and dark interiors in Mexico City.

The subtlety and sobriety of Japanese crafts and its skilled artisans have informed the interiors of the restaurant.

The project's main elements evoke an abstraction of the Samurai armour breastplate known in Japanese as "dō."

This project has been longlisted in the restaurant interior category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
