Shigeru Ban has designed a 10-room boutique hotel in Japan that includes a library, a 250-tree garden and a shared social space.

Shishi-Iwa House is a collection of architect-designed retreats, with the first one designed by Shigeru Ban.

This project has been longlisted in the hospitality building category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
