Mim Design has revamped a Melbourne office, adding perforated metal screens, glass walls and an open-plan layout to help maximise light throughout the office.

Located in the small inner-city suburb of Cremorne, the office was designed for building company Cobild.

The interior philosophy and planning principles for Cobild headquarters are driven by four signatures: communication, connection, honesty, teamwork. With this in mind, clear sight-lines, visual connection and the circulation of space informed the spatial configuration.

With consistent affinity between the interior and exterior architectural form, white perforated screens throughout affords an abundance of light and reflects the transparency that underpins Cobild's core values.

This project has been longlisted in the small workspace interior project category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
