Peter Cardew Architects has designed a store for Canadian athletic clothing company Reigning Champ in Los Angeles.

To connect the customer with the product, the design of the store alludes to the domain of a gym, providing a harmonious setting for the display of athletic clothing.

The choice of materials reinforces the relationship to sporting activity with the use of utilitarian tile wall surfaces; polished concrete floors; moveable display fixtures suspended on wheeled tracks and fabricated using Western Hemlock – a plentiful economic wood from Western Canada with a beautiful straight grain efficiency; all coalescing to present a powerful and alluring functionality.

This project has been longlisted in the large retail interior category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
