ICRAVE has designed a cancer-care centre for patients, families and caregivers in Manhattan.
At The David H Koch Center for Cancer Care at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan, ICRAVE evaluated how design and technology can help improve the cancer care experience for patients, families and caregivers.
Our hypothesis was that a hospital - the building itself - can play a role in a patient’s care, if it addresses their relationship to the facility and becomes adaptable as treatment needs change. We sought to restore freedom and control to patients, and design a facility – from the architecture to the experiences within – where that intention was ever-present.
This project has been longlisted in the leisure and wellness interior category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
