The Children's Library Project aims to create inspiring and relaxing spaces for children in Guernsey, UK.

The studio aimed to create fantastical spaces where all children can learn, play and relax around books, encouraging good mental health and wellbeing.

The library has enhanced the offering to those children at the edges of the reading experience, who might otherwise feel daunted and be put off at a young age.

Designed for, and funded by, the local community, the library's attendance and lending statistics already speak volumes.

This project has been longlisted in the civic and cultural interior category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
