Hornillos Atelier has renovated an old fruit store into an office space and showroom in a historical building in Madrid.

The old fruit store was formerly used as a commercial space for meetings.

The remodelling has been approached from the perspective of pre-existence; both material and functional. The studio retained the original marble cladding from the fruit store, which was still in good condition.

The new Vistto offices include a single seven-meter-long room, which is articulated in a flexible and capable way, using its two interior elevations as useful exhibition fronts.

This project has been longlisted in the small interior category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
